Perhaps the Documentary Short Subject awards aren’t the part of the Academy Awards broadcast that get the most press, but there’s one entry this year that might be of special interest to anyone familiar with the mental health issues faced by veterans. “Crisis Hotline: Veterans Press 1,” is a 41-minute film that, according to its official site, “spotlights the traumas endured by America’s veterans, as seen through the work of the hotline’s trained responders, who provide immediate intervention and support in hopes of saving the lives of service members.”
