Dr. Euriel Merrick , Ph.D.
Dr. Euriel Merrick is a Postdoctoral Psychology Fellow who is working toward his independent license in the State of Ohio and operates under the supervision of Dr. Deborah Koricke. He obtained his doctorate from Palo Alto University and master’s degree from Azusa Pacific University. Dr. Merrick completed his pre-doctoral internship at Eastern Virginia Medical School and his postdoctoral residency in clinical neuropsychology at Mary Free Bed Hospital and Rehabilitation Center. Dr. Merrick worked at Kaiser Permanente, where he conducted neuropsychological evaluations and treated patients with various psychological disorders.
He taught psychology and neuroscience at various area Colleges and Universities, including Case Western Reserve University, The University of Akron, Baldwin Wallace University and South University. Dr. Merrick’s specialty training in clinical neuropsychology permits him to evaluate and treat patients with congenital and acquired neurological diseases, traumatic brain injury, dementias, strokes, memory disorders and other degenerative diseases. He also conducts psycho-education evaluations, bariatric surgery evaluations, independent medical evaluations, psychological testing, ADHD evaluations, competency evaluations, Alzheimer’s and dementia evaluations and neuropsychological evaluations.
In addition, Dr. Merrick’s treatment interests include patients with executive dysfunctions and chronic disease (e.g., diabetes, heart disease, etc.), cognitive rehabilitation for patients with changes in cognitive functions due to brain injury, biofeedback and cognitive-behavioral therapy to treat patients suffering from anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder and depression. His training and experience uniquely equip him to treat individuals of all ages, from children to older adults, who suffer from a broad range of psychological difficulties.
